sanctioned by the first year running Northern All Stars Late Model Series. The event paid $5,000 to win and was delayed
one day by Mother Nature. The event
went off on a Sunday afternoon in May of 2003 and saw Darrell Lanigan pass Don
O’Neal on the white flag lap to capture the $5,000 payday. Scott James, Whitney McQueary, and Jim Curry
completed the top five in the rundown of the 1st My Old Kentucky
Home Shootout, while 2003 Bluegrass Speedway Late Model track champ Bryan
Barber finished 15th in the event after having tire problems in the
late stages of the 50 lap main event.
-Shannon

into victory lane in the 2004 version of the My Old Kentucky Home
Shootout. The winningest Late Model
driver in America in 2004, Don O’Neal, would take runner-up honors, while Scott
James, John Gill, and Wisconsin invader Chris Carlson would complete the top
five in the 2004 My Old Kentucky Home Shootout, with 2004 track champion Joey

Independence, KY and 2005 Bluegrass Speedway Late Model track champion Joey
Daniel go side by side, wheel to wheel for the first 15 laps of the 30 lap main
event that paid $3,500 to win. Corbin

win. Trailing Daniel at the checkered
flags to complete the top five were Brad Neat, Bryan Barber, and Terry
English. NASCAR Nextel Cup Series
