Bluegrass Speedway 2008 Championship Awards Banquet Set For November 8

 

Bardstown, KY-September 28, 2008- Bluegrass Speedway will officially close out the 2008 racing season with the 2008 Championship Awards Banquet on Saturday November 8.  The awards banquet will be held at Samuels Hall, located at the Nelson County Fairgrounds, just south and next door to Bluegrass Speedway.      

 

The festivities on November 8 will begin with the doors opening at 5:00 p.m., with the banquet meal being served at 6:00 p.m., with the award presentations set to begin at 7:15 p.m.  All drivers in the top ten points are admitted free, along with one guest admitted free.  All others are welcome to attend, with the cost just $5.  The Super Late Model and Modified Rookie of the Year and runner-up will also be honored.  For those planning to attend, please RSVP by no later than November 6.

The top ten in final track points in all divisions will be honored.  Trophies and money will presented to the top six finishers in each division, while the seventh through tenth place finishers in each divisions will receive plaques courtesy of Leake Auto Sales.  The Super Late Model and Modified Rookies of the Year and runner-up will also receive award courtesy of First South Credit.

 

Bluegrass Speedway last raced on September 27 and feature event winners for that evening included Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Josh Lucas of Bardstown, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Pat Hagan of New Haven, KY in WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, and Johnny Cecil of Balltown, KY in Street Stocks.                                                         

 

The 2008 track champion at Bluegrass Speedway are Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Jason Wheatley of Loretto, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Roger Cecil of Bardstown, KY in WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, and Robbie Settles of Bardstown, KY in Street Stocks.
