KY-May 24, 2008- In racing action at Bluegrass Speedway on Saturday evening,

Dustin
Neat would take lead at the drop of the green flag in the 44 Auto Mart Super
Late Model feature event, with Scotty Earl, Bryant Woodcock, Jordan Bland, and
Jeff Watson in pursuit. Johnny
Wheeler would drive past Watson for fifth on lap 2, with Bland began to
challenge Woodcock for third. Bland
would make the pass on Woodcock for third on lap 4, with the caution flying on
lap 5 for a spin by Matthew Rigdon in turn four.
The restart would be called back after Watson made contact with the
restart cone and would have to restart at the rear of the field.
Neat and Earl would again scoot away from the pack, with Wheeler now
challenging Woodcock for fourth and taking the spot on lap 6.
By lap 10, Neat was slowly pulling away from Earl, while Bland and
Wheeler would duel for the third spot. Watson
would make his way back into the top five on lap 12, as he would pass Woodcock
for the position. Neat would open
his lead to better a half straightaway over Earl by lap 20, with Bland finally
winning the battle with Wheeler for third by lap 21.
But up front, it would be Neat, who fought a deflating right rear tire
over the final three laps, picking up his second win of the season at Bluegrass
Speedway in his NWN Distributing/Neat’s Brothers Distributing/Neat’s Service
Center/Kentucky Proud/Begley Properties/Tarter Gate/Barnett Construction/Wayne
Bowen Racing Supply/ SHY Racing Suspensions sponsored #25 C.J. Rayburn Race
Cars, Estes Race Engines powered machine. Earl
would take second, with Bland, and Wheeler fourth.
Watson would cross the line in fifth, but would be penalized two
positions in the final rundown for passing a car before the restart cone.
This would put Woodcock back into the top five in the final finish.
Jacob Webber would head up the second five, with Watson credited with
seventh, followed by Kevin Colston, Michael Coontz, and Joey Jones.
Wheeler was top qualifier among 11 entries with a time of 15.428 seconds,
with Neat winning the dash, while Colston won the heat.

over the final four laps to capture the win.

Jason Wheatley and then hold off a closing Wheatley over the final few circuits
of the 20 lap open-wheel main event to score his second win of the season at
Bluegrass Speedway. The win for Lee

with Dion Benningfield for the third position, while Joe Mattingly would round
out the top five. Completing the

for heat race starting positions and the heat wins would go to Lee and Wheatley.
