(Crate) Late Models Can Now Use Hoosier Tire Crate 21 Tire at Bluegrass Speedway
July
2, 2009- Bluegrass Speedway Track Promoters David and Anita Ferrell would like
add the following tire to the 2009 Super Late Model track tire rule at the ½
mile high-banked clay oval.
Those
drivers that race at Bluegrass Speedway in the Super Late Model division that
are using the Crate Performance race engines will now be allowed to utilize the
Hoosier Crate 21 tire rule. But
this will apply only to those racers utilizing the Crate Engines in the Super
Late Model division. Those
competitors in the Super Late Model division using the normal full-blown Super
Late Model engines will not be allowed to use this tire.
The
amended tire rule in the Super Late Model division at Bluegrass Speedway for the
remainder of the 2009 season will be as follows:
Hoosier
Tires Only: Front Tire Rule- any
compound 11 x 92 Hoosier Tire; Rear Tire Rule- Hoosier LM20,
1300, Crate 21 (only for those racers using the Crate Performance race engines),
1350, LM40, 1600 and D55 (Shoulder Plated) are the only compounds that are
eligible for competition. The soft
compounds (LM20, 1300) must durometer 40 prior to competition, while the hard
compounds (LM40, 1600, D55) must durometer 60 prior to competition.
The SUPR or SAS branded Hoosier 1600 is not eligible for competition.
Bluegrass
Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road at exit 21 of the Martha Layne
Collins (Bluegrass) Parkway. David
and Anita Ferrell are the track promoters and present dirt track sports
entertainment from mid-April through the end of September.
