Speedway Rolls 10th Annual Kentuckiana Klash on Saturday July 12
Bardstown,
KY-July 6, 2008- The rumble and roar of racing is back again at Bluegrass
Speedway this Saturday evening July 12 at the David and Anita Ferrell promoted
½ mile clay oval located just minutes from beautiful and historic Bardstown, KY
with the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Models
coming to town for the 10th Annual Kentuckiana Klash.
The
July 12 racing program will feature the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass
DirtCar Series Super Late Models in action will a full program of practice, time
trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 40 lap, $5,000 to win 10th
Annual Kentuckiana Klash event. Also
on the racing card for Saturday July 12 will be a full program of weekly racing
series action for the Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds and Street Stocks.
The WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman will have the evening off.
The Street Stock division will also time trial along with the Super Late
Models, while the Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds will pill draw for heat race
starting assignments.
Activities
for the racing event on July 12 will see the pit area will open at 4:00 p.m.,
while the grandstand area will be open at 5:00 p.m.
The driver’s meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m., with hot laps set to
go at 6:30 p.m., time trials for the Super Late Models and Street Stocks will go
at 7:00 p.m., with racing set to take the green flag at or before 8:00 p.m.
Ticket prices will be $20 in the general admission area for adults,
children ages 6 to 12 will be $10, and children under age 6 will be free.
Admission to the pit area will be $35.
Bluegrass
Speedway will once again be an associate of the Contingency Connection program
for the 2008 race season, which allows those drivers who sign up, at no cost to
the drivers, to be eligible for valuable product discounts and other prizes.
For 2008, the Contingency Connection will award over $150,000 in prizes
through their program across the country at the 60 oval tracks involved in this
prestigious program.
Bluegrass
Speedway last raced on July 5 and feature event winners for that evening
included Tim Prince of Heltonville, IN in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Jeff
Stith of Louisville, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Pat Hagan of New Haven,
KY in WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, and Jason Priddy of Weasetown, KY in Street
Stocks.
Track
championship points leaders heading into the July 5 racing program are Dustin
Neat of Dunnville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Jason Wheatley of
Loretto, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Roger Cecil of Bardstown, KY in
WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, and Robbie Settles of Bardstown, KY and Jason Priddy of
Weasetown, KY are tied for the Street Stock division points lead.
