Speedway Returns to Action With 5th Annual Topless Terror Night July
5
Bardstown,
KY-June 29, 2008- After being closed this past Saturday evening, Bluegrass
Speedway will be return with racing action this Saturday July 5 at the David and
Anita Ferrell promoted ½ mile clay oval located just minutes from beautiful and
historic Bardstown, KY.
The
July 5 event will be the 5th Annual Topless Terror Night, which will
see the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Model and the Kentucky Cooperage Modified
divisions will rip off the roofs of the race cars and sport the convertible look
for the evening. Also in action on
the July 5 racing program will be weekly racing series action for the WBRT
1320-AM Sportsman and Street Stocks. The
race purse for the evening will be the same as a regular Saturday night racing
program for all divisions. The
Super Late Model and Modified divisions will time trial on July 5, while the
Sportsman and Street Stock divisions will pill draw for heat race starting
assignments.
Activities
for the next racing event on July 5 will see the pit area will open at 4:00
p.m., while the grandstand area will be open at 5:00 p.m.
The driver’s meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m., with hot laps set to
go at 6:30 p.m., time trials for the Super Late Models and Sportsman will go at
7:00 p.m., with racing set to take the green flag at or before 8:00 p.m.
Ticket prices will be $10 in the general admission area for adults,
children ages 6 to 12 will be $8, and children under age 6 will be free.
Admission to the pit area will be $25.
Bluegrass
Speedway will once again be an associate of the Contingency Connection program
for the 2008 race season, which allows those drivers who sign up, at no cost to
the drivers, to be eligible for valuable product discounts and other prizes.
For 2008, the Contingency Connection will award over $150,000 in prizes
through their program across the country at the 60 oval tracks involved in this
prestigious program.

Speedway last raced on June 21 and feature event winners for that evening
included Tim Tungate of Campbellsville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models,
Jason Wheatley of Loretto, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Roger Cecil of
Bardstown, KY in WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, and Joe David Humphrey of Loretto, KY
in Street Stocks.
Track
championship points leaders heading into the July 5 racing program are Dustin
Neat of Dunnville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Jason Wheatley of
Loretto, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Roger Cecil of Bardstown, KY in
