Speedway Host O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass 7th Annual June Jam
on June 14
Bardstown,
KY-June 8, 2008- Bluegrass Speedway will return to action after a two week
hiatus this Saturday evening, June 14, with the presentation of the 7th
Annual June Jam at the David and Anita Ferrell promoted ˝ mile clay oval
located just minutes from beautiful and historic Bardstown, KY.
The event will be sanctioned by the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass
DirtCar Series Super Late Model division.
The
racing program on June 14 will see the Super Late Models of the O’Reilly
Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series in action in a full program of practice,
time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $3,000 to win 7th
Annual June Jam O’Reilly A-Main event.
Also on the June 14 racing program will be weekly racing series action
for the Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds and WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, while the
Street Stocks will be off for one more week.
Activities
for the next racing event on June 14 will see the pit area will open at 4:00
p.m., while the grandstand area will be open at 5:00 p.m.
The driver’s meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m., with hot laps set to
go at 6:30 p.m., time trials for the Super Late Models and Sportsman will go at
7:00 p.m., with racing set to take the green flag at or before 8:00 p.m.
Ticket prices will be $15 in the general admission area for adults,
children ages 6 to 12 will be $8, and children under age 6 will be free.
Admission to the pit area will be $30.
Bluegrass
Speedway will once again be an associate of the Contingency Connection program
for the 2008 race season, which allows those drivers who sign up, at no cost to
the drivers, to be eligible for valuable product discounts and other prizes.
For 2008, the Contingency Connection will award over $150,000 in prizes
through their program across the country at the 60 oval tracks involved in this
prestigious program.
Bluegrass
Speedway last raced on May 24 and feature event winners for that evening
included Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Benji
Lee of Raywick, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Barry Chesser of Bloomfield,
KY in WBRT 1320-AM Sportsman, and Willie Edelen of Bardstown, KY in Street
Stocks.
Track
championship points leaders heading into the June 14 racing program are Dustin
Neat of Dunnville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Jason Wheatley of
Loretto, KY in Kentucky Cooperage Modifieds, Barry Chesser of Bloomfield, KY in
