Bluegrass Speedway Honored as Best by Battle of the Bluegrass Series

Bardstown, KY-February 10, 2009- Bluegrass Speedway and its track promotion duo of David and Anita Ferrell were recently honored in late January for their outstanding work during the 2008 racing season.

The O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series based in Louisville, KY named Bluegrass Speedway and promoters David and Anita Ferrell as track and promoters of the year for their accomplishments in helping promote the Battle of the Bluegrass tour not only at their track, but at other track across the commonwealth as well.

The husband and wife duo, along with daughter Amanda, have now won this award on two occasions, having also garnered this honor back in 2003 for their diligent work at the ½ mile high-banked Nelson County racing facility.

Bluegrass Speedway hosted five O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Model events in 2008 and also hosted the tour in an event taped for television by the Outdoor Channel on September 20 of the ’08 race season.

Bluegrass Speedway will begin its 15^th season of dirt track sports entertainment with its 2009 season opening contest on April 18.
