Bluegrass Speedway Practice Rained Out; Season Opener Set for April 16

Bardstown, KY-April 9, 2011- With practice set for Saturday evening, Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell have had to cancel the scheduled test and tune open practice set for the evening due to rain that has passed through the area.

Bluegrass Speedway will begin its 2011 race season with its 17th annual season opener on Saturday April 16 that will feature Super Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks.  As a reminder, all activities will start one hour earlier, with the pit area open at 3, drivers meeting at 5, and racing set to begin at 7. 

Bluegrass Speedway will feature four weekly divisions of racing competition during the 2011 race season and those will be Super Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks, with Compacts also in action on occasion during the season.
