victory in 1999, with Rick Corbin of Independence, KY bringing in the 21st
century with a win the 2000 contest. Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN would
begin a string of three straight wins in the Spring Sizzler by scoring the event

O’Neal down during this run by raining out the 2002 event. Shannon Babb of
Moweaqua, IL would outlast the competition to grab his only win in the race in
2005, while Mother Nature would again win the event in 2006 after it was
rescheduled three times and finally cancelled. Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN is
currently the man to beat at this race, as the “Winfield Warrior” has

cancellation of the race and it was not rescheduled.
