Mother Nature in Winner’s Circle at Bluegrass Speedway
Bardstown, KY-May 21, 2011- With practice laps in the books and time trials set
to get underway, heavy rain showers moved over Bluegrass Speedway, forcing track
promoters David and Anita Ferrell to cancel the remainder of the racing program
due to unsafe track conditions because of the rain.
All general admission tickets and pit passes are good for next Saturday
night’s 14th Annual Spring Sizzler on May 28 for the National All Star Racing
Association that pays $3,000 to win for Super Late Models. All patrons
will have to do is pay the difference in admission prices at the main gate or
pit gate. Also, patrons can choose to use their tickets and pit passes for
the Topless Terror Night on June 25 when the Compacts division returns to the
track. The only dates the rainchecks are good for will be May 28 or June
25.
A total of 15 Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, 13 Country 100.9 MIKE FM
UMP Modifieds, 13 Clayton Homes of Stanford UMP Sportsman, 8 UMP Street Stocks,
and 3 Compacts were signed in at the time the rains came. All drivers in
the four weekly divisions that were signed in will receive show-up points.
The next event at Bluegrass Speedway is set for Saturday May 28 as the National
All Star Racing Association will visit for the 14th Annual Spring Sizzler,
paying $3,000 to win for Super Late Models, along with a full racing program for
the Country 100.9 MIKE FM UMP Modifieds, Clayton Homes of Stanford UMP
Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks.
Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road at the intersection of
Kentucky Highway 31-E and exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins (Bluegrass)
Parkway. David and Anita Ferrell are the track promoters and present dirt
track sports entertainment on Saturday evenings from mid-April through
