First Place Points for All Drivers in All Divisions at Bluegrass Speedway on
August 14
Bardstown, KY-August 8, 2010- Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and
Anita Ferrell will again present racing action at the ½ mile, high-banked
Nelson County clay oval on Saturday August 14 as the track presents a full
program of weekly racing series in all four weekly divisions.
On Saturday August 14, all four divisions will be in competition and of
special interest, all drivers that start their respective A-Main on August 14
will receive first place track points for the night. In action on August will
be the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models ($1,000 to win), UMP Modifieds ($500 to
win), WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman ($200 to win), and UMP Street Stocks ($100 to
win). For the August 14 racing event, the Super Late Model and UMP Modified
divisions will time trial, while the UMP Sportsman and UMP Street Stocks will
pill draw for heat race starting assignments.
Activities for the August 14 racing program will see the pit area open at 4:00
p.m., with the general admission area opening at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory drivers
meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. Practice will begin at 6:30 p.m., with
time trials at 7:00 p.m., followed green flag race action at or before 8:00
p.m. All times are EDT. Ticket prices on August 14 will be $10 for adults, $5
for children ages 6 to 12, and children under age 6 free in the general
admission area. A pit pass will cost $25.
Bluegrass Speedway last raced on August 7 and feature event winners included
Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Benji Lee of
Loretto, KY in UMP Modifieds, and Billy Meredith of Hodgenville, KY in WBRT
1320-AM UMP Sportsman, while UMP Street Stocks are off.
Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road at the intersection of
Kentucky Highway 31-E and exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins (Bluegrass)
Parkway. David and Anita Ferrell are the track promoters and present dirt
track sports entertainment on Saturday evenings from mid-April through
