Bluegrass Speedway Off June 12; NASRA June Jam Goes on Saturday June 19

Bardstown, KY-June 6, 2010- Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell will take off this Saturday June 12 to enjoy the Dream 100, but will return with exciting racing action at the ½ mile, high-banked Nelson County clay oval on Saturday June 19 as the National All Star Racing Association visits for the 9th Annual June Jam, paying $3,000 to win.

On Saturday June 19, the National All Star Racing Association will be in competition at Bluegrass Speedway with a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $3,000 to win 9th Annual June Jam A-Main. Also in action on the June 19 race program will be the UMP Modifieds for $500 to win and the UMP Street Stocks for $100 to win, while the WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman have the night off. For the June 19 racing event, the Super Late Model and UMP Street Stock divisions will time trial, while the UMP Modifieds will pill draw for heat race starting assignments.

Activities for the June 19 racing program will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area opening at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. Practice will begin at 6:30 p.m., with time trials at 7:00 p.m., followed green flag race action at or before 8:00 p.m. All times are EDT. Ticket prices on June 19 will be $15 for adults, $8 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under age 6 free in the general admission area. A pit pass will cost $30.

Bluegrass Speedway last raced on June 5 and feature event winners included Tim Tungate of Campbellsville, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Jason Wheatley of Loretto, KY in UMP Modifieds, Robbie Settles of New Hope, KY in WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman, and Timmy Glazer of Bardstown, KY in UMP Street Stocks.

Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road at the intersection of Kentucky Highway 31-E and exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins (Bluegrass) Parkway. David and Anita Ferrell are the track promoters and present dirt track sports entertainment on Saturday evenings from mid-April through September.
